A little. It was tolerable though.

Home now. My cervical length is 1, I'm 1cm dilated, and I'm not contracting right now. I'm on full bed rest and I got my first shot of Diprolene to help mature the baby's lungs. I also got progesterone to insert at night. I'll go back to the hospital tomorrow for second shot.

Why aren't they doing a certilage? I thought they do that at 1.5.. I'm sending you positive thought i hope baby stays in another couple months!!!

Bummer. Well at least baby would have a good start bein as youre in the 30 weeks and got te shots.

I've been here with my first pregnancy, but my cervix was 2.something and I was 3cm dilated. I didn't get the steriod, just medicine to stop contractions. This time I'm not contracting but my cervix is way shorter. *sigh* All I can do at this point is follow instructions and take it easy.

True. The specialist said not to do anything to cause contractions...no getting hungry, no stressing, no holding pee...nothing. I can only get up to go to the bathroom.

What's the fetal fibronectin test?

LOL! Something about the stomach growling... It sounded so weird to me.

The fetal fibronectin test is a swab of the cervix to check for the protein that keeps the baby in the womb. Typically it's detectable after 35 weeks, but if they find it before then, you're at risk for preterm labor.

*sigh* this is not good.

My previa is not going to move. The baby's vessel is attached by my cervix. If my water broke or I dilate the baby will bleed out in a matter of minutes.

At 32 weeks I am going to be hospitalized until the baby is developed enough or until an emergency happens.

I go back in 2 weeks for a cervix check and if it's shortening I'll go in the hospital then.

I have one more week of bed rest then I can work but I need to sit as much as possible to keep pressure off my cervix.

I'm so sorry mama. I hope baby can stay in as long as possible and i'm sure you will get the best care possible in the hospital, even though it may suck being in there. I'll keep you and baby in my thoughts and prayers.
