I was on IV antibiotics for 48 hours after and I thought that was bad   with DS I had nothing like that happen and I still literally thought I was going to die the first time I stood up!! The second one is much better in that regard as you know what to expect and it's easier to get up and moving after.

Hip pain is another thing im trying to deal with. They hurt if I walk too much, if I lay on one side too long, I am hoping the dr can give me advice on how to manage it when I go on monday.

Other than that, I love this hospital.
They take the baby out, show it to me briefly and do what they need to do to/with it and then within 10 minutes, baby and dad go to nursery. I finish up in the OR and then get sent to a post surgery recovery room where I have to stay for a minimum of one hour. By the time I was able to head back to my room, my kids were all close to 2 hours old. Even after getting back to my room it's any where from 20-40 minutes for them to bring the baby in.
It makes breast feeding really difficult. I hated that everyone gets to see the baby before me and that I miss out on those first few hours.

Totally agree!
Getting up the first time after my first section was terrible. I almost blacked out from the pain. It took a while to get used to moving and doing so without crazy pain. My second was a lot better and I truthfully had very little pain with my third. The day after my surgery all I was taking was tylenol and I never even filled my percocet prescription. I'm hoping for just as smooth of a recovery this time around.

I get terrible hip pain during my pregnancies. I've been lucky and have only had a few aches so far, but I know it's coming. With my last pregnancy my doctor told me about a pregnancy brace and it did help. I'll see if I can find the brand... but I wore in under my shirt, it was little bit scratchy but it'll be winter this time so I can wear a shirt underneath, but it helped so much with the walking pain. It didn't do anything for them while I slept, but any relief was welcomed!

ahhh i got horrible hip pain wiht my daughter.. i am really really hopeing i dont get it this time around i remember it use to be sooooo bad

I know!
It was a process to get out of bed every morning, I'd have to hold onto the edge of the bed to move and then my hips would 'pop' back into place by the time I got to the bathroom door. It was loud and painful but I always felt better after that pop. There is some kind of disorder or something that causes sever hip pain but my doctor said that it's hard to diagnose and that the only thing that helps is physical therapy. Like I said though, the brace helped while walking around.


I had the middle one. When I get home I'll see if there's a name on it, I cant find anything other than this pic on google though

I got mine from a place called meda-fair or meda-fare...they sell all kinds of medical stuff, like hospital beds, oxygen tanks, wheelchairs...It was maybe 70 or 80 dollars but it helps a lot.

If you find the brand let me know   I do alot of walking so pain is killer at the end of the day

That sounds like the same or similar pain that I've been having as well. Let me know what your doctor says
