Baby shower Ideas..............

Well Im due in October and I really dont know when will be a good time to have a baby shower. I also want it to be a great one so planning is a big deal. The best idea that I have heard was to have a raffel with a small but nice prize whereeveryone willbring a pack of diapers as their ticket. ( an easy way to rack up on diapers) but other then that im stuck, any suggestions?

and search on goodle for babyshower ideas--there are tons of sites with really cool stuff 

will it be co-ed or just women?? I had mine at 35 wks and it worked out really well...

probably co-ed but I dont know depending on how many men will participate I dont want anyone to feel uncomfortable

mine was kinda co-ed... my hubby hosted a diaper buy in poker game for all the guys downstairs in the basement while we did our girly stuff upstairs... everyone got together when we first got there to eat and stuff then parted our seperate ways... the guys when downstairs to have some beers and play... it was a lot of fun and I ended up with a lot of people and a HUGE mountain of diapers that we havent even made a dent in!!A lot of the guys said it was a lot of fun and it was the only babyshower they'd ever enjoyed!!

p.s. the winnings for the poker games were giftcards to diff restaurants! you can go to walmart and get all different kinds...

I did a raffel for diapers at my shower....I gave away two gift baskets one with wine and cheese and another with bottle water and different types of snacks!! I didn't know how to word it on my invitations but I found a little poem that you might like to use!

"To add a little extra glee and help the parents to be, Please bring a little extra from the heart. An unwrapped pack of diapers to give them a good start."

Then I put a different size on each invitation so I wouldn't get so many of the same size....worked out great .....I have pampers up to size 5.....I won't have to buy any for a long time....the best part about it was people understood and brought the diapers along with additional gifts.... I gave out tickets in exchange for diapers and at the end of my shower we pulled tickets....It was really nice! Needless to say everyone wanted the wine and cheese basket!

Mrs. Ford, thats what I was thinking about. My loving brother is gonna help me plan it so that it wont be so bad for the guys. Im so excited!

Adrians adoring mommy, You had a great turn out at your shower I hope mine is the same. I just want everyone to have a good time, along with me getting great gifts.
