Thanks  well, I was hoping I wouldn't still be at L&D but I'm here to stay until tomorrow evening  Thankfully my BP has gone down a lot, but I'm having contractions every 3 minutes. Baby seems fine. Sounds like I'll have to do a 24-hr Urine sample, get 2 steroid shots to stop contractions and a saline drip. Hopefully that will help keep things under control. I realllly don't want to do bed rest, but if I can avoid early delivery/induction, then what choice do I have?!!

They might recommend bed rest to try and keep it down. Other wise you may need to deliver early.

Thanks so much. Yes, neither of my "options"/ possible outcomes are ideal, but I'm hoping for bed rest. DD and DH left about an hour ago and she was so incredibly sad and inconsolable. I felt so bad for DD. but DH sent some pics of her all happy, which helped.
I'm worried about my job... I only planned on being gone 6 weeks starting the end of April. I just started there 4 months ago, so I'm super worried about time off/bed rest. But I suppose there's nothing I can at this time but wait until tomorrow and plan from there.

Does your job involve lots of physical activity? Maybe you can just take it easy and still do your job.
Hoping your 24 hour test comes back good.
Are they giving you shots for baby's lungs just in case? At least you're almost 32 weeks which I hear is an important milestone in regnancy so if god forbid you do need to deliver baby should do ok with some NICU support.

Thank you for your encouragement! My job isn't really physical but it can become a bit stressful. I'm pretty new and the position is still being figured out as I go. I work closely with families who need behavioral health services and crisis intervention. I also serve as a consultant to 24 case managers who work with these familied and try support them as they help families deal with mental health related and other needs. My supervisor's been really understanding but I just feel guilty about possibly having to step out for a while longer than planned, and much sooner than planned.

As for the shot- HOLY CRAP that hurt sooooo much!! I got 1 steroid shot so far and due for another one tomorrow. At least the pain went away fairly quickly  and you're right- I think whichever way this goes, baby's got a good chance of being just fine at this age. All of this stuff just came on so fast and I didn't even see it coming-- The "what ifs" suck to think about but it's helpful to be on BG and find support

I think if you need bed rest your doctor can write a note that excuses you from being in trouble with your job because it's medical leave.
When HG caused me to miss class, my professor asked for and got a letter from my OB stating that I had a medical issue going on. and the letter said school or work, so there may be that.
When do you get the results of your 24 hour test?
I know this is super scary but it sounds like you're in good hands medically.

I have to do the 24-hr urine test until 2:35pm today. I don't know what all is going to be happening today, other than reviewing results and that other steroid shot! Hahn that shot!!!

As for work- I had told my supervisor my maternity plans a few weeks ago but was supposed to update her this week with a final plan and then we were gonna write something up for HR to show that my supervisor approved it. We didn't have out mtg due to some family emergencies into supervisors family. HR told me verbally that I could get up to 12 weeks off if I wanted regardless of the rule of having to be an employee for 12 months to qualify. When I followed up with HR recently, they sang a little different tune stating I legally could get 6 weeks off but if I really wanted to I could do up to 12 weeks. I wanted stuff In Writing to reflect the conversation but never got anything. I trust them but I've been burned a few times by HR at other jobs and so my guard is a bit up with this new place. They keep reassuring me I will retain my job but its more the time frame and other benefits they mentioned that I'm not so sure I'll qualify for as they initially promised. Anyway- going to count my blessings and hope for the best here on out. Once again- I appreciate the support and insight regarding your own experiences. It helps a lot 

So I woke up yesterday and baby hadn't moved at all during the night Tuesday night, and I was bleeding bright red. I had had light pink all trough the night but it bright red when I went to the bathroom in the morning. So I called my do yor to let her know and she had me go to l&d. I got there and DH and I had our two year old with us (we arranged for my FIL to pick our 6year old up from kindergarten), because we had the LO with us DH wasn't allowed back and had to wait with her in the waiting room. I was in l&d for two and a half hours hooked up to a monitor and havig exams and tests done. No contractions, baby woke up and started moving and his heart was strong and steady, but they couldn't figure out where the bleeding was coming from.
I am going for an ultrasound to tomorrow to check that my placenta isn't attached in a Cameron's place that could have caused the bleeding, I can leave dd home with DH because he is working from home but he can pick up our son from school which is helpful. I have to bring dd with me but kids aren't alloed in the ultrasound room so my mom has to take the afternoon off so she can come meet me and watch my daughter.
Until the doctor gets the ultrasound and clears me I am not allows back to work(I don't really mind, I'm a hostess at a restaurant one night a week) but all this happening is so inconvenient. Our doctor/hospital is a hour and change away, having to to there outside my regular appointments is such a hassle. Infant complain because the care is amazing, and I love my doctor, and I'm glad to know baby is fine. But gosh this is such a pain in the butt!!
