my sister is expceting her second and is 27 weeks, this is the first week I've been able to see that she is pregnant. I'm actually kind of jealous of her because I've been visibly pregnant since like 14 weeks.

Yeah that's about the point where people starting saying "wow, now I can tell you're pregnant." Lol. I just don't get how they didn't notice before! But we are well bundled much of the winter here so maybe they couldn't tell. There's no hiding it now though. My "pregnancy face" revealed herself today and its not cool. Super puffy and my nose is getting wider lol. I don't need Botox or anything, that's for sure LOL.

Yeah I only ever get a belly. A BIG ROUND belly. I always hear "from behind infant even tell you're pregnant". It was the same with my last baby too. My face doesn't change at all.
But my sister in law has a pregnancy face too. Her nose gets wider and her lips gt really full.

Lucky! I thought I might get away with just the belly this time, but the swelling has begun. It goes away about a week after delivery though I had pre- eclampsia before so I went into the hospital looking like one person, and left looking very different because the swelling started going down.
Have you done much shopping for baby? A friend called from the Carter's store the other day and asked what baby still needed. I realized I hadn't gotten this poor kiddo anything yet! DH got him a Vikings outfit the other day, though lol.

This is out third baby and our youngest right now only just turned two last so we still have all her "baby gear". We really just need a swing and some more cloth diapers and hamper for them. Luckily I don't like super girlie stuff so her travel system is black, gray, and bright green and will work perfectly for this little boy.
We cosleep and I exclusively Breastfeed(my 2-year-old is actually still Breastfeeding) so we don't need a whole lot of "stuff" and we have a lot of clothes left over from our first son.
All I'm really concerned about is getting our house ready. The kids usually sleep with us but we like for them to have their own beds and spaces so we have to get my son's room ready to be shared with the baby, and we need to buy a larger car and renovate our bathroom before he arrives. So we have mostly everything we need it's just a matter of getting our house ready for the new family member that has me stressed out.
What about you?? This is your second I see, do you have any leftovers from your first? Are they the same sex?

Wow, that sounds like a lot to do... But at least you know what you need to do!! Take it easy- I'm sure it will all fall into place! I also have alot of the baby gear from my DD and its all gender neutral. The only thing is we ended up with sooo much girly clothing and stuff, I just can't imagine putting baby #2( a boy) in the frills and dresses all the time. The onesies I don't care about... They're mostly greens and yellows, but the rest of the stuff is about as girly as one can get! We're also trying to figure out a sleep arrangement. DD sleeps in her own room, but she'll have to share with baby brother at some point. I think he will sleep in a playpen ( one of those elevated ones) for the first few weeks and then switch to the bedroom. The frustrating thing is that we have 4 bedrooms but 2 are downstairs and too far from my bedroom for me to feel about leaving DD alone in ( she's just turned 3). I dunno... I am just gonna have to figure it out as I go. Nothing went according to plan with DD, so I've learned not to plan too much LOL. I still have to figure out the nursing thing if DD and baby share a room. I hope it's not disruptive for her while she sleeps.

I know what you mean, we specifically bought our house because al the bedrooms were on the same floor and on one end of the house. It's a ranch and the living space is all very open and then on the other end of the house is the bedrooms. My husband thought I was so paranoid for not looking at houses with separated bedrooms but now he gets it. Lol
And I hi every single Breastfeeding problem you can think of with my daughter (never bf with my son, just not educated about it). We dealt with infections, clogged ducts, stomach bugs, hospitalizations for RSV, bad latch that caused me to bleed at every feeding for the first 12 weeks, big baby/low supply, and severe PPD. If you have ANY questions regarding Breastfeeding please feel free to ask. We managed to get through it all and she never had any formula.

I think I've seen one or two people around with the same due date, they just aren't in the OP.

Good grief! That's a lot to go through! Thank you for offering your support. I'll PT you... Hope you don't mind! As for the bedroom thing... Yeah, we didn't think things through very well. We live in a split level house, which would've been fine if the staircase leading to the bedrooms wasn't on the other side of the house.

Yeah I wouldn't like that either. It would make me too nervous that I wouldn't hear them if something ever happened. I thought I was the only person who thought that way. lol

Baby's got a crib (was delivered Friday) but no mattress, some diapers, a few outfits, and the boppy. Travel system, swing, and bouncy chair are all still up at my mom's (3 hours away)

I realized with baby #1 that we thought we needed everything right away, but ended up only really needing wipes, carseat, diapers, the boppy, and a few other little things. Sounds like you have all the essentials! Gonna get the playpen and carseat and swing out next week... Hopefully it wil be warmer though. I was my trying to be out in the garage in 20 degree weather ( though that was much warmer than last week here in the twin cities).

I'm down by LaCrosse so our weather's a lot like yours
Other than the carseat actually being here and either a mattress for him OR a twin mattress for DD in which case he would inherit hers, the only thing we really need prior to him getting here (and honestly, it's a BIT of a want) is a dresser for his stuff. Ideally what I want to do is refinish the dresser in DS's room and use that for Ninja (as we call him) and get DS a new dresser but with it being so cold and snowy and having no garage to work in (since we rent an apartment), that project would have to wait until the weather's more cooperative <sigh>
