Soooo jelly that Ethan's finally potty trained. I'm SO ready for girlie to be trained. Damn her birth defect
Good luck at your appt Monday!
I still need socks for both kids (and DH), undies for the boy, stocking stuffers, and the PJs Santa brings when he visits to check in on the kids 2 weeks before Christmas. DS's big gift is on layaway but should be paid off by the end of next week.
No clue what to get my brother's kids (they're the same ages as my kids)

We told FIL about the baby last night. He was shocked! We called to wish them a happy thanksgiving and were talking about visiting (he's in CA, we're in WI) and he said maybe we could come this spring. I said we wouldn't be traveling anywhere this spring b/c we're having a baby in May. He and his gf are going to visit over New Years. MIL's also planning on coming around then, eep! I'm telling her today since its her birthday. We're still not telling MY family until Dec 8 when we see them

I'm craving feta cheese, kalamata olives and green olives stuffed with pickled garlic. And just plain pickled garlic. And also grilled artichokes. Pretty much all things Mediterranean. Mmmmmm

Happy belated Thanksgiving, everyone! We just did a quiet thing at home with us and the kiddos, since DH had to work for a few hours in the morning. We skipped the Black Friday craziness and just got our Christmas tree and decorated the house instead. Still lots more decorating to do, but that's always fun.
We plan to take our family Christmas/announcement pic this weekend, and I'm getting so nervous about finally telling people. I'd kinda like to keep it a secret forever, but we'll be seeing relatives in a few weeks and I'm getting too big and obvious to hide it.

The only Christmas shopping I've gotten done so far is an idea I saw on pinterest where you wrap up 24 different Christmas books and each night leading up to Christmas the little ones take turns picking one to unwrap and read at bedtime. I went to a local consignment store that has kids books for $0.25 each, and got 17 Christmas books and 3 non-Christmas ones. Between those and the ones we already have, we'll have 24! Now I just need to start wrapping them, since the 1st will be here before I know it.

I thought it was a much better way to countdown than those advent candy calendars. And this way, I can reuse the books each year if I'm careful to put them away after Christmas is over.
