Nope. They said it was unnecessary but seems like it would be something they would want to do since they are taking me off all this before Im term, I expected to stay on until 37 weeks.

My Son Raymond was born July 2nd (2012) and was 5 and 1/2 weeks early. He spent 18 days in the hospital (2 weeks in the NICU, and the rest in PED's) He was an emerg C-sec, and Came out screaming! He weighed 5lbs 8oz! he had trouble keeping his temp-regulated so they took him to NICU 5 mins after birth. They thought many things where wrong with him at first, but every doctor and specialist that saw him cleared him from every concern. He ate fine, and breathed on his own from birth. He never needed to stay longer then one night, and upon release the doctors apologized to me for keeping him, but that they needed to rule absoloutly everything out. He lost over a pound in the NICU since they kept changing his feed times. He went down to 4lbs 6oz! He is now home and super healthy, growing like a full term baby! he has been home for one month and 3 days, and has gained 3lbs! Good luck with your L.O! being a NICU mom was hard, but there is so much worse out there, some of the babies had been there for over 100 days, and where born anywhere from 22-30 weeks and only weighted around 2 or 3 lbs. and they do great! so try not to worry yourself!!
