Vaccinate using a delayed/ alternate schedule

I read up on vaccines by using Dr. Sears "The Vaccine Book". I then found a Dr. In my area that was "vaccine friendly".

23, trade school graduate, don't vaccinate at all. Ive used numerous links online from several sources like the cdc and aap, along with a few child development books and dr sears vaccination book. My pedi respects my decision however encourages me to do rsearch for a few that she recommends. We will not vax at all.

What (primarily) led you to your decision(s)?

-learning through my studies and also doctors recommendations. With my oldest, strictly doctors recommendations.

I'm 28, some college...still attending.

I do not vaccinate.

I've read extensively on vaccines, anything I can get my hands on. Books, CDC/AAP website, NVIC, documentaries, other moms...

I am 21 and have completed college.

I vaccinate but on a delayed scheduled.

I followed the doctor's recommendation.

46 y/o. Bachelors degree plus some course toward masters.
Fully vax on schedule. skipped flu shot and didnt do swine flu shot.
Researched many resources online and spoke with a couple of docs.
I have a clinical background as well as my husband.

With my son I fully vaccinated on schedule for the first 18 months. From that point on (and for future children) we will vaccinate on a delayed and selective schedule .

Initially: followed the doctor's recommendations
Now: did some research (please list the main resources you used)
-Mostly based on two personal experiences. The first was having my son forced to get the initial H1N1 vaccine while I was steadily telling the nurse not to do it. The second was a mild reaction that my son had at 18 months to the last shot he got (I can't remember which one it was). After that I did research that included reading a lot of other parents' personal experiences, reading information on the CDC website, and various other sources about parental rights.

I researched the viruses themselves (what they do to the body, mortality rate, number of reported cases each year, etc.), potential risks and side effects associated with the immunizations and the likelihood of said risks and side effects, and ingredients lists (to which I concluded that these immunizations were created by scientists, and I trust a scientist's discretion as it pertains to the safety of the ingredients).

If my son had been in any kind of poor health or had any reaction at all to the first round of immunizations, I would have started delaying, but he's 10 months old now and still has never had an adverse reaction. I feel the benefits in vaccinating greatly outweigh the risks.

I vaccinate because I can't afford 100% of my childcare costs and the government won't give you any monetary support without full vaccination.

I'm 24...graduated highschool and will be taking college classes soon.

My cousin is vaccine injured..my aunt won a lawsuit for it...but it's not like she won much...my cousin is 27 and still in diapers and can't walk or talk all due to vaccines.
My husbands little brother also had a bad reaction.
We decided to delay vaccines because of it running in my family.

we do selective vacs on time.
we feel most people are over medicated. so we chose what we think are the major things to protect against. My pedi also agree's.

I fully vaccinate on time. ETA: Except the flu shot.

I vaccinate due to the doctor's recommendation/receiving government assistance and it's required.
Also, it's something that is within my power to protect my children. I personally feel that these vaccines were created for a reason, to keep these illnesses at bay, and I'm going to do just that.

Also, I've done research. The information the doctor gives you that lists the side effects as well as the CDC and also speaking to family members who are doctors and nurses. If my children ever had a bad reaction, I would delay and/or stop vaccinating, but my children have never had a bad reaction and from the research I've done and the numbers that are out there, the benefits outweigh the risks for me.

Oh my gosh that's horrible.   I don't blame you. Do you mind if I ask the details of your cousin's injury?

You say you've done research...how do you not know that vaccines are not required? Every state has exemptions.
