2 months shots

posted 18th May
Jocelyn just got her 2 months shots last thursday, for the first night she fussed and then she has been feeling better. This morning she wakes up with a temperature. i gave her tylenol like the doctor said, but the temp just keeps getting higher. Right now its at 99.5, is there anyother way to get rid of a temp.?

That's pretty high, and since she is so little I would probably call a health line or er for some info. And I am usually not so concerned with fevers but she is awful young!

infant motrin? Try a cool washcloth on her head. I hope she feels better.

Thats why its worrying me.
She was 4 weeks early and was in the hospital for 2 weeks due to prematurity. I talked to my mom, (shes a ped. nurse) she said to wait until the next dose and if it doesnt work, then call the doctor.

I was told to alternate between Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hrs to help bring the fever down. Call her doc and see if that's okay - it worked for Kennedy.

calling the doctor is alway best, heres a chart explaing the temperatures:

Your child officially has a fever when the thermometer reads 100.4F. and above, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics. When it warrants a call to your doctor, however, varies by age:

Age When to Call
Under 2 months 100.4° F
3 to 6 months 101° F
Over 6 months 103° F

Lydia had a temp of 101.7 after her shots.  called the doc and they said to give her tylenol every four hours and to give her a lukewarm bath.  That was all.  And to just check it every couple hours.
