Infant Gas Relief Drops

posted 18th May
How many of you used them on a gassy baby, and they didn't get colic? And, on the same note, how many of you used them, and -still- got a cloic baby? Catherine's really gassy, and ever since we started using the drops, it seems to of helped.

I use them for my son and he's not colicky. I think sometimes they just have really bad gas pains and it helps them. They've definitely helped my son when his tummy seems to hurt.

from about 1 week to a month my son always had gas and was screaming after a bottle even though he would burp at least3 times. I tried the gas drops and they worked perfectly. No problems at all, and he hasn't had ANY problems with gas since.

I put one drop of the stuff into her bottle every time I fix a new one, and that seems to do the trick for her... She still gets gassy, but it doesn't seem to hurt her if that makes sense?

I put a drop of Mylicon in Kennedy's bottles to eliminate the air bubbles that form when the formula is mixed up, so she doesn't suck so much air in when she eats. I think it works great when used like this... as far as using the Mylicon straight from the dropper - I don't think it helps one bit when they've already got trapped gas.

What I found DOES work is Gripe Water tho.

I know what you're talking about. It seems as though it eases the pains, and that they are able to get the gas out of their tummy.

Yeah. She's able to burp herself now for the most part. Today, I had to rub at her tummy a little, and after about two circle rubs on her tummy, she let out a huge fart, and was instantly okay. She fell right to sleep.

So, you think the drops help keep colic at bay?

i'm not sure if they actually keep the colic at bay because I don't think my son has been colicky- just gassy. Either way, i'm sure it helps

I use gripe water also. I love that stuff. Kaori use to get really bad hiccups after eating, but ever since we used gripe water she doesn't get them. And she seems to pass gas now with no pain at all and it seems like it is less effort for her. She hasn't been as fussy either. I even used it when I had an upset stomach, it has ginger in it and doesn't taste bad and actually helped.
