Whole Milk

i took my little girl to the dr today she is 8 months old and her dr. said to put her on whole milk. should i listen or should i leave her on formula?

normally dr's don't tell you to put your child on actual milk until they are at least a year old..........

I always heard no whole milk til after they turn one and even then you gradually add whole milk to their formula.

Whole milk at 8 months?! Why? That doesn't seem right. They are supposed to be over a year old. Also, whole milk isn't that great. While my children were/are breastfeeding they do not get any other kind of milk. I don't usually give them any other kind of milk at all except my oldest likes cow's milk in her cereal. They get their nutrition elsewhere.

what was the doctors reasoning for this?? ive never heard of a baby going on whole milk before he/she turned one!

bc she spits up formula so bad but she is gaining weight just fine she is 8 months and 20lbs and she is on zantec but its not helping..

my daughter was on milk at 7months because she refused formula and shes perfectly fine and healthy! =)

20 lbs at 8 months is FINE! My oldest wasn't 20 lbs until she was 2 years old!
