We need answers... *Long*

My son is almost 9 weeks old and has had a series of health problems. He has been on zantac and nexium for what his doctor is calling a "complicated case of acid reflux".
On top of that, 2 weeks ago we took him to the ER because he woke up from a nap screaming and had a pool of blood in his mouth. It was everywhere...it filled under his tongue, between his gums and cheeks, etc.(They ended up saying this was from his stomach acid popping a blood vessel in his throat as it came up) Anyways, while we were examining the rest of his body we saw a blood spotted rash that was on his tummy, theighs, back, and legs. They said that these were from blood vessels popping under the skin and were concerned about him having a blood clotting disorder. However, all the tests came back normal so they wrote it off as a "freak accident" no lie...
This morning, little man has 2 new blood spotted rashes: One on his stomach and the other on his neck. He has a second opinion appoitment with another doctor tomorrow and his regular pedi has not answered my voicemail yet this morning.
I know it is a long shot but does ANYONE know what this could be or what we should do?

omg - terrifying!
definitely dont allow "freak accident" to be the diagnosis. knock down every doctors door until you find one that can solve the mystery.

The Er drs usually don't do full testing, I would ask your ped to refer you both gastroenterology and hematology.

Try a childrens ER. They tend to work harder than regualar ER's when it comes to babies. I have noticed with my kids, they blown stuff off but as soon as I take them to a childrens ER. They get fixed quick.
