Im hooked up to monitors in the hospital right now. They are watching for preexlampsia and now im contracting regularly. We will see what soc says but looks like all the complications are coming to a head.

I'm pretty sure they will just induce. how far along are you?

They did not induce. They did an amnio. My sons lungs aren't developed enough. They sent me home on bed rest for ten days. Unless I develop preeclampsia. I have the warning signs but not yet positive foe it.

How far along are you?

36 weeks 5 days. Baby is extra large so the doc thinks that's why his lungs haven't fully developed yet.

Ffs it's never fair is it? Hopefully if you can keep baby in for an other week or two you'' both be ok.

They will deliver baby next Thursday unless I develop preeclampsia (im borderline) or my contractions get to be 3 mins apart. Im 7-12a mins right now. Or my water breaks obviously lol. But they are keeping an eye on me and put me on bedrest to be safe.

Did they atleast give you a steroid shot to help with babies lungs?

No. He is a 49. They want a 60 at this point. So he's not far off. 10 days should be plenty. My first was born at 38 weeks also and had no complications. However this baby will be bigger im guessing. He measured at 7lb 5 oz today. 90-95 th percentile for all his measurements.

If your contractions get any closer I would demand a steroid shot never know if baby wants to come on his own he could. The shot wouldnt have hurt him any.

My doctor told me they won't give those shots after 34 weeks, so it's probably too late to give them to the OP.

My doctors office and hospital actually have a policy they don't give those shots after 34 weeks. Just like they wont stop your contractions. Hospital does have the rnicu. Its one of our best hospitals.
