Sleepy Baby

posted 20th Aug
When he was newborn he never really liked to sleep just comstantly feed. Now hes 16 Weeks and he goes to sleep around 9pm sometimes wakes at 12 for a feed or sleeps till around half 4 or 5 for another feed then we get up at 7am, he has a feed and a change and we play but then that thumb goes in his mouth and its 9am and he sleeps for an hour and wakes up and after half an hour the thumbs back in again and he wants to go back to sleep. He seems to do this all day wants to just sleep and if i dont put him down he just screams and nothing soothes him only letting him suck his thumb and go to sleep. Just he used to stay awake from 7am till 2pm, and then nap for a good 3 hours.

My son is 5.5 months and can't go longer then 2 hours without taking a nap. I don't think thats abnormal at all.. at 16 weeks my son couldnt stay awake longer then 1.5 hours top.

For his age he should still be sleeping like 18-20 hours a day let him sleep

Quoting Hocus Pocus:" For his age he should still be sleeping like 18-20 hours a day let him sleep"

At 4 months? No way... 18-20 hours is more like newborn sleep habits.
