What are some good books about Autism/Aspergers... i was asked by a friend what a good book would be to read and all i could think of what the out of sync child.... i need some other ones

When I took Abnormal Psych in college we read a book called Eating an Artichoke...but I only remember that it was about the autism spectrum disorder...I'm pretty sure I liked it though.

I don't actually own that book. I work in a bookstore and someone ordered it and I looked through it. It looks really great and something I thought was nice was that I could pretty much flip to any page and see some great info. It wasn't something you necessarily had to sit down and read through which I think would be helpful for someone like my husband who doesn't really like to read books like that. It's on my wishlist!

The Fabrics of Autism (she gets a little too deep for me, but it is worth the read), The Out of Sync Child, Just Take Another Bite (for eating issues specifically based on SN kids). I want to read Carly's Voice-her story is fascinating, you should look it up Carly Fleischmann. I've read many more and can't remember their specific names-sorry.
