Vitex
posted 19th Aug
I just ordered me some to start taking. I was wondering what you ladies think about this? What's the best way to take it. I've read that some take a higher dose up until cd13 then lower dose up to af or bfp. Does this seem like a good idea?

Hey! Not sure if you still wanted information, but I replied to another Vitex post today and decided to do a search to see if anyone else used Vitex in this forum. Anyways, I found your post! lol
I just started taking Vitex on CD4 this time around and it's CD20 now. I take two pills a day, one in the morning with breakfast and one right before or after dinner. I also take a cod liver oil pill twice a day and a B-Complex pill in the morning with the Vitex. I don't know if it's done anything to get me pregnant, but I'm past ovulation. I used BBT and checking CM instead of OPKs (I hate those things! lol).
I know that I usually ovulate around CD20-something and this time it happened on CD13 according to the BBT chart. I know that I feel less anxious all the time and plan to keep taking it until I get a BFP (fingers crossed!). Also, in the very first couple of days of taking it, I noticed it gave me a headache. It went away by the fourth day on it. I've also read that people with depression or bi-polar disorder might want to do research before taking it. I read on Amazon women talking about taking Vitex made them worse than they were before they took it.
So, take that into consideration too. I was nervous to try it, but after 16 months TTC #1 now, I figured it wouldn't hurt.
