What kind of contracts do you all have your clients sign? (I'm trying to get all of my stuff together lol. I feel like even for free sessions I need to have some sort of contracts for my images and whatnot)

Model (like agreeing to let you use their photos on your site)?
Payment?

I've got a printing authorization but I'm trying to come up with something for payments (for when I start charging) and to allow me to use the images myself as examples of my work.

Any tips/examples would be great! Thanks

Copyright, Model Release, Minor release, Photography agreement, and then I do the print authorization card.

Meh....the lines aren't smooth at all and the gradient background is really odd.

Why did you do that?

I was trying to fix the background but it ended up looking wierd all white so I tried adding a gradient but it did not come out how I wanted. I just started all over though.

Why don't you just clone out the white spots to make the background all grey?

I did that at first but then certain spots looked funny and I went over it in white and it looked worse. I just kept doing stuff and it made it worse. I redid it though. Better?

When I was doing freebie sessions back in the day (five years ago!!) I basically had a model release saying I was allowed to use the photos for whatever advertising things I needed (site, etc) and I gave them a sheet with a little copyright info and expectations, etc. It was pretty simple.

My portrait contract covers payment policy, copyrights, permitted use, editing, limit of liability, specific requested images (no promises made) and rescheduling/cancellation AND it has the model release built into it.
