okay advice please, I used a flash diffuser on these with a shutter speed of 1/60, f/4.5 and 400 ISO





Am I doing any better or still look like point and shoot?

They still look like point & shoots to me, but I think a lot of it is the clutter in the background & the compostion. I feel like the top two are cropped too tight.& I don't think the flash diffuser helped very much :/ There is still harsh lighting & shadows.

Keep practicing! I know that's annoying to hear, but the more you practice, the more you will be able to pinpoint what you are doing wrong & right.

Agreed. It's still obvious it was on camera flash pointed right at them. See the hard white dots in your cutie's eyes? They're called pinlights and they're generally not considered good.

It can take some time to learn the aspects of what makes a good photo. Light is key, as is composition, depth of field, the moments you capture.. etc.

Yes because he's classic.  

So we went to Florida after Christmas and I still haven't finished converting and editing all the pictures.. I'm just so bored with editing.. I don't know how some of you ladies do it.
