I was talking to DH about the G... and he was wondering why it is the same price as the earlier version. He is worried that since they had to add components to the motor in order for it to be compatible, that other aspects of the lens may have suffered. Did they cut corners and make the lens plastic? Is the lens a different quality?

Does that make sense? He just cant understand why they'd be the same price.

I think I'm just gonna put it up on eBay.

I've knocked my G around so much and it still works perfect.

It's the same quality I'm sure. I've always seen it a tad bit more expensive.

It's great quality for the price.

Okay. I hope not. I seriously have a boner in my heart about this. I thought it was going to be hundreds more for the 1.4.

Ok. Sorry for being paranoid. I hope it's better than the 35. Not that there's anything wrong with the 35... I just feel it's a clarity issue. I wonder if its because I've dropped it several times though. D'OH!

It's about 189.00 for the 1.8 and 399 for the 1.4 I think.

I've heard 35mm is a good lens for inside, the 50mm is perfect for outside.

I might be posting a pic or two from today in a couple minutes.
