Yep. But I have to have a minimum of 4 so I can pay for it and pay the MUA and hair artist and still make a profit.

I freaking shot like 10+ in Oct/Nov   Way, way too much.

Haha yeah.. plus most of those require in person proofing sessions as well so that's more face time/drive time and time that someone has to watch Zaida.

How many sessions is ideal for each of you in a month? And of each of those sessions, how much money do you aim to make?

I would be happy with one every weekend right now.

mine fluctuates a lot.

i had 12 last month
8 in october
6 in september
13 in August


I think ideal for me would be 2 a week/weekend, so like 8 or so a month?

and my pricing is really crappy right now, so I made anywhere from $50-$200 with all those shoots.

I'm hoping this next year i'll be sticking to my prices, and won't make under $100 per shoot, unless it's a special, which won't happen often next year.

I think I could handle UP TO 8 every month. But no more than that. And I think I would like to make between $400 and $800/session.

Dude what is your typical session fee? You need to charge way more than that!!! You're awesome!!

people around here are CHEAP. and there are other photographers, that are just as good with studios around here, that are even cheaper than me.... so i feel like i have to kind of compete with their prices, which sucks, because they price their selves soooo lowww...

My question is how do those people who run studios stay afloat? That's insane!! Have you ever read Happy Place from Served Up Fresh?

I have no idea. it drives me crazy tho.

& no, but i do have that to eventually read. lol. I have a lot of things that I need to read that i'm sure will help.
