Not entirely positive but I think you would want to set your F stop as low as it could go and adjust your ISO and shutter speed settings if your shooting on manual.

Flip it to manual focus and turn it until it isn't in focus..

Is there an easy way to brighten up just face with elements? I tried brightening up the whole picture but it made the background look funny.
