There needs to be some kind of material under their chin for sure.. It makes me cringe.. The other day on some photography forum someone had a baby's chin resting on the edge of the box and it was horrible. They were like 'Mom only let go long enough to take the photo'. Yeah, okay.

This baby's mom sent me a picture of a baby in this concrete basket/vase thing. No blanket, face on edge. I cringed. There would have to be LOTS of blankets.

Ugh. I had a client send me an inspiration photo once of a baby hanging in one of those crochet net things.. Horrible. So squished up. Clearly hanging, not a composite.

I REFUSE to do any hanging. I will not do it ever. I will also not put babies in glass jars with candy. Or around any candy. I also don't like when people put newborns right on the hard floors. That can't be comfortable. And I imagine that would be very hard to regulate the temp of the floor...

Yeah no weird containers for me either. I'm not a big prop person in general. Hats and headbands/wraps are okay but I don't care for other stuff.

I'm the same. If feel like it detracts ones attention from the baby. I'm not gonna do extra stuff unless it's a special request. I won't even go out of my way to offer it.

I hope this shoot goes well. I have always wanted to primarily shoot newborns.

So I have a friend who wants me to take some pictures of her.

Her idea is lingerie...in the woods...in fall leaves. LOL.

It would be the first time doing anything "stylized" I'm kinda freaking out.

The photographer I did a little swap with posted a photo.. I don't hate it.. thank goodness she did some photoshopping under my eyes lol.
