Quoting Larry!:" So I've been contemplating using my full name for my photography and I really don't want to . So ... [snip!] ... I came up with Nellie B. Photography. Honest opinions please. Nellie is my nickname is B. is the 1st letter of my last name "
Quoting Larry!:" sweet thanks! I looked really quick and their was a Nellie Photography but not with the B, thankfully haha. My full name is to long to use IMO."I say go for it!
Quoting awesomebrandi:" Yeah it does look a little better though it's still got the harshest contrast of all of them, light wise."
Quoting Chuck Finley.:" <blockquote><b>Quoting Larry!:</b>" So I've been contemplating using my full name for ... [snip!] ... Honest opinions please. Nellie is my nickname is B. is the 1st letter of my last name "</blockquote> I like it!"
Quoting Legendary Bonnie Beaver:" So the girl that sent me the marketing kit sent me a message today saying that since it took so long that I could have anything in her shop. So I chose the new marketing kit she put up that's $125: "That's awesome!
Quoting Larry!:" Question: I'm offering a free maternity session to a friend of my SO's and I think of great poses and ... [snip!] ... but when I go to take pictures I kind of blank out . Does anyone do a cheat sheet? lol or any tricks to remember them?"You could type them up on a list and just print it out and put it in your pocket. Or they have posing stuff you can buy and reference on your phone and stuff. I don't do that personally but I know it's out there. I think a big thing is just try and relax, take your time and use a critical eye. Time and experience will give you that automatic list of ideas that you can customize for each person.

Quoting Cheryle [TOG]:" I always write out the poses/settings I will do during a shoot and any little reminders such as (close ... [snip!] ... and we go over everything so I have an idea of what poses they like/don't like. I never go to a shoot without my cheat sheet."This is great to know, thank you! I would love for a photographer to show me what she or he has in mind. This way if I didn't like the pose or felt uncomfortable I can let them know before hand. I'm relieved to know that a professional does this haha.

[snip!] ... like the pose or felt uncomfortable I can let them know before hand. I always tell my clients to just keep an open communication with me and if they don't like it (which I don't know has ever happened) I encourage them to tell me. No skin off my nose. Sometimes I try a pose and I don't like it for them, so I change it. I don't plan poses for my session, because every client I shoot is different so I can't assume they will all fit, personality wise, with the pose I have in mind. Some people like more modern stuff, and some like more classic stuff. Not knocking Cheryle's way, because if it works for her, that's great.. but I think that's part of it.. You have to find what works best for YOU and your clients.
