that's impossible! I agree with Brandi, 3-5 is the max you'll be able to get.

My method for working with kids, is to use a lens critter (I have a frog). I also have a crocodile hand puppet that I use in one hand. My frog and crocodile will have conversations and sometimes my crocodile will give the frog a friendly little bite in the leg (this usually always gets the boys to laugh). I've also ordered a laugh sack that makes laughing noises when squeezed, I think my croc will be holding that thing in it's mouth in future. And other than that I also make weird noises, sing songs, play peek a boo, and basically try anything to get a smile. I do ask the parents to stay quiet because too many people shouting and making weird noises usually just makes the child confused or they look at mom and dad instead of me (I don't let them stand behind me either because I try to get the child to look at the frog lens critter so that they are looking into the camera).

In the end, each child is different and some are easy to get a laugh and others are hard and some don't smile at all no matter what you do.

I just commented on the status asking what if we're not able to do it because I'm usually only able to get 5 poses in 15 minutes.

I've been meaning to make a lens buddy forever, just because I think it'll be good to get those lurkers to stare AT the camera but I feel confident there was nothing more that could have made this particular kid smile. Normally I'm good at getting them to warm up eventually but as you said.. some of them just don't.

Keeping up with this thread is a little difficult on my phone, really hoping my charger will show up today or tomorrow. (Dog chewed up my other one   )

I'm about ready to give up on this one! Lol DD got him for her birthday in July and it just seems like it is taking him forever to catch on to things..but I'm already too attached to him, I don't think I could give him up..just gotta keep trying
