Well, those people aren't real competition. It's finding the REAL market that can be hard.

Yep. It's really because I don't know anybody here still. When I did clinicals last week, it came up and there were a few people who asked for my card.

That's a good start! Have you thought about reaching out ot some local businesses?

Not really? How would I do that?

I would look up businesses that relate to what you want to do. For kids it's easier - boutiques, or doctor's offices, stuff like that. Seniors, I'd say maybe beauty salons, again, trendy boutiques, stuff like that. Go chat them up, tell them you're a photographer and you would love to make some new business connections with high quality businesses, blah blah. Put out some nice cards. It won't always be a win but it's a way to start spreading your name. You never know what will happen.

Bentonville is about 2 or so hours from my house. Not super far lol

Aw. DH has a friend in Ft Smith and its only an hour from where we'll be moving  

I've met like 3 different moms on here in AR and none of them will be close to where we're moving lol.

Lol well then you'll be about 1.5hrs from me. I live about 30mins from Fort Smith.

I've only met a few too lol and none of them live close to me either. Most are like in Little Rock or something.

  The same is here in VA. Everyone I meet is hours away. It sucks.

My BIL will be going to school in Russellville in August I think. I'm hoping to be able to go visit him sometimes to get out of the Bentonville area

Lol that will be good! Russellville isn't too far from Bentonville. A good drive but not too far. I almost transferred to Russellville from UAFS
