Quoting Mrs.Dani:" Anyone know why my photos are showing up dull looking when I open up the raw file in CS6? Here is a pic of the opened RAW and the JPEG. Is it always like this? "
Quoting Ryleigh's Mama ♥:" I just got a new computer, & now when my pictures are open on my PS, even after I edit them in ... [snip!] ... the original looks okay, & then the resized or saved .jpg looks way too warm or something? Anyone know what I'm doing? lol."Did you double check your colorpsace and are you calibrated?
Quoting awesomebrandi:" Did you double check your colorpsace and are you calibrated?"

Quoting Ryleigh's Mama ♥:" How would I do that? This is what I mean. In this case the resized version was probably better ... [snip!] ... but I'm just not sure what I'm doing. It never did this on my other computer. Original edited file. Resized edited file: "Go to Edit > Convert to Profile and see what it says at the top.
Quoting awesomebrandi:" Go to Edit > Convert to Profile and see what it says at the top."
Quoting Ryleigh's Mama ♥:" I went there to see what it said (It was Adobe RGB), took a screen shot, & clicked "ok" to get ... [snip!] ... it changed the colors to match what I was seeing in the resized version. Is that what I need to do when I open raw files now?"Well, what probably happened when you clicked okay is that it changed it to sRGB, which is what you want your files to be in. You'll see the second option is 'destination space' and that normally defaults to sRGB. Do you use photoshop for the RAW editing? I am not sure how that works as far as automatically setting your colorspace, I just do mine upon export in LR. I'm sure there is a way to automatically do it though.

Quoting Cheryle [TOG]:" To me it looks like a color space problem too. Once when LR did an update, it changed my settings to ... [snip!] ... settings and default settings in LR are set to ProPhoto color space. I had to change it back to sRGB for exports and editing."
Quoting kuhlaneuh:" Just got my 50mm 1.4 was thinking about doing some comparisons between the that and the 50mm 1.8 as well as my new camera and my old camera. seems like a lot of work tho, and i'm tired. "Yeah, I thought about doing comparisons between the 1.8, 1.4 and 1.2 but it never motivated me enough to do it past all the other crap I already have to do

Quoting Man. Bear. Pig.:" Anyone have a canon 50d? Is that going to be better than my nikon d3100? The canon comes with the 28-135 lens that I LOOOOOVED back when I shot with canon"
