having a problem uploading my photos and opening the raw files from my new camera.  



I have a cracked version of PS, and it won't let me update the RAW editor

If you have Lightroom you can convert the raw files to dng and then upload into Lightroom that way. The only thing dng changes is that it makes your file about 20% smaller but you won't lose quality. I don't have anymore solutions yet:/

Why don't you download a trial of LR?

you can shoot in RAW and JPG so you have both. And I agree about downloading a trial version of LR.

i don't use LR, i don't know how. I have LR3 already

I haven't messed with RAW a lot in PS but from what I've seen, the adjustments in the development panel on LR and the RAW adjustments in PS are pretty similar.

So what do you do? Do you adjust RAW in LR and then edit in PS?

I do most of my editing in LR.. all of it if I can. I really only use PS for beauty edits.

grrr... i really don't like LR.   I use a lot of actions in PS.
