Lol. You think I could get an inexpensive one or do I need to just wait and invest in a more expensive tripod?

So pretty! I tried to do this before with my olympus but I didn't have a lens with a large enough f stop. I want to try again with my new camera when I get it.

I love all your new things you do! Can you link me to your digital photography page again? I know you posted it before but idk where it's at lol

Well, I wouldn't get a super cheap one, because you need to make sure you get one that can support the weight of the camera.

The group on Facebook is here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/305043839617167/

Anyone can join at anytime and catch up or just do the effects they want. There is a separate album for each effect so it stays organized and easy to look through.

True. I'd die if my camera got dropped lol. I was thinking around 50-100$

What do you guys think about a lightscoop?

I was thinking about getting one instead of a speedlight bc it'd save me quite a but of money but idk how they compare. I have a speedlight I was using for the camera I'm selling and I use one at work all the time but I've never used a lightscoop. Is it a viable option or should I just go ahead and spend the extra on the flash?

I think you can probably get a decent one in that price range.

For me, I don't see how it can compare at all, because while the light scoop diffuses the flash, it still can only come from one direction, where as with a speedlight you can bounce the flash PLUS you can put it off camera. There's no question in my mind.

That's true. I didn't really research the lightscoop much I wanted to get opinions here first and I remembered somebody talking about one once.

A lightscoop is great for around the home for private pictures. I don't think it would be enough for an actual photo shoot, especially if you have more than one person. I love mine for private use and I also use mine for newborn shoots in combination with CFLs because I don't like to use my speed light on a newborn. A speed light will be more versatile (a lightscoop doesn't really work outside unless you have something held up for it to reflect on).

Thank you. My house doesn't have much good light in it if the curtains aren't open. I think the speedlight will be better then since it's a lot more versatile.

Thanks ladies
