And you guys...guess what. We sold our quad (very sad about that but we never ride it anymore.) so with some of the extra funds....I got a 6D 

It's remarkable so far...I haven't had an opportunity to play with it a whole lot yet since it JUST got here but holy crap...before today I have NEVER looked through the view finder of a full frame camera, so as soon as I put it up to my eye , all I could say was "WOWWW!" lol. It's a whole new world. I'm gonna try to take some comparison shots later with my 6D and my 7D when Richard gets home. I'm beyond thrilled though

ahh! I'll have comparison shots between the two of them up tonight after Tea goes to bed. I know for sure I'm gonna miss the 8 fps on the 7D..and probably all the focal points but I didnt really use every single one of them on the 7D as it is.

I wish I had a better review of it for you but I haven't played with it enough yet (and its killin me), lol. You will definitely be happy with your purchase tho

I've watched soooo many reviews so far on it. lol I'm more than ready to get my hands on it!  

I'm upgrading from a very old Canon Rebel T1i, so I'm sure I'll be absolutely AMAZED by it's performance.

I'm so excited! Lol I found a manufacturer refurbished one with a warranty for 750 so that still leaves me enough to get a 50mm too


I really wanted the d600 but I didn't have the extra money for that. So in a few years I will be able to upgrade again (probably just buy a second camera) and get a full frame

I got mine (refurb) from Adorama. It only had 367 clicks on it total! I'll likely buy whatever is comparable to the D700 in a few years and use my 7000 as a backup.

Took a couple really quick snaps of Richard when he got home from work, both are SOOC. It was really dark outside so I used a pretty high ISO, which I wanted to do anyways since I wanted to compare noise too. HUGE difference.

with the 7D
50mm 1.4 lens
1/60
F/1.4
ISO 3200

And with the 6D...same exact distance away, same settings, same lens. Such a huge difference.


I'll do some more comparisons tonight and some tomorrow in the daylight too 

One issue with the 6D...lightroom does not support the 6D raw format. I have LR3 but from what i'm reading, it's the same with LR4 too. camera=too new I guess?

ETA: have to use the DNG converter to convert the raw files to DNG for LR3.

Anybody up for some CC? LO and I had cabin fever today so we tried to venture outside, she was excited to be outside and I was excited to take some pics haha!

and I just checked for you, cs6 DOES support the 6D raw files.
