Sorry for being a pain last attempt for the night, I tried to adjust the color cast and played with the saturation a bit, I think this one is better??

So I am about to spam you guys with pics. I just finished editing the pics from today. They aren't my best work and some are pretty noisy but I don't think I did horrible. I ended up with 18 shots. CC is always welcomed:

Also, I would've preferred the shots where they're not actually playing on the playground to have a different, less distracting background. But you did good!

Yeah I prefer the color too, but I am giving her B&W just in case she prefers those. I actually wanted to go into the grass but she was having so much fun playing with him on the slide and stuff. Around 5 we went into the grass and I tried getting some shots but it was to dark by then. I actually kind of like how they came out. I was really disappointed at first but I feel a little better about them now.

Also I have a question would a D3100 be a better upgrade from my now camera? I have the D40x. I know of someone who is selling theirs and I have been contemplating selling mine and upgrading. It between that and L☮J's light scope.

It honestly wouldn't be much of an upgrade besides the video function and a few more megapixels. The bodies are almost identical and it doesn't really offer more 'features'.

Is this your first time taking pictures of someone besides yourself anand LO? If so iI think you did a really good job

Doesn't it have more focal points too? I hate that mine has 3 . I either have to have my subject on the very left/right or in the middle. I heard it handles ISo better too?

Yes. Unless you count random snap shots. I was super nervous and I oly had like half an hour of light.

u dont NEED to have the subject center right or left. Google focus and recomposing.
Also the d3100 is pretty crappy in low light too. Talk to s/n Michael Weston I think is what hers is. Its Samantha from the fb photo group you're in. She says her d3100 doesn't do well in low light either
