Yeah, please, that is not an ugly kitchen at all. I have BLUE CARPET in my kitchen. I win over everybody. My house is at least 10x uglier.

Yes, it's like a super short pile, practically NO pile type carpet.. I think the old people who lived here previous to us had it put in for like warmth or something. Who knows. It's the most wretched thing ever. Horrible.

it is though because there's no room for anything. it always looks cluttered to me. I'll take a pic in a bit. I hate the crappy countertops. we're eventually replacing with granite and new cabinets.

I've never understood the concept of carpet in bathrooms or kitchens..... have you thought about ripping it up?

Well yes of course, but we wanted to redo the entire kitchen. The cabinets are too small to even hold the dishes we got for our wedding (5+ years ago) so it's not like we're keeping the rest of the wretched kitchen to redo the floors. :| I mean we ARE but now we'll just do a cheaper flip vs trying to make it a dream kitchen.

I've never seen carpet in a kitchen.  

Growing up one of the houses we lived in my room had blue carpet I thought it was the coolest thing ever lol.

My in laws had blue carpet when I first was with my husband but they pretty much have remodeled their entire home since then and have hardwoods.

I have hardwood I hate it. I want carpet.

Carpet is disgusting and so unsanity. We DID tear up the carpet in the rest of the house and we have all wood floors we put in ourselves, we just haven't redone the kitchen. It was sooooo gross under it. It seems harder to keep them clean, but when they're clean at least you know there isn't dust and pet hair and god knows what else under them.

Today for Z's birthday I took photos of her all day.. Day in the life.. for her second birthday. I'm so glad I did   I got some super cute shots. <3
