That first picture is so cute with his hair like that!

I really like the editing you did on these. Looks like just a touch of matte. My vote is for color but then I usually always prefer color over BW unless the picture really screams to be BW. The BW ones are nice though too.

And I agree with what others have written, you look very young and are young but I wouldn't have thought that by how you write here. You are mature for your age.

My third child is turning 19 in a couple of months. I'm probably the "granny" in the thread since I just turned 47. lol

Thanks the wind was blowing his hair back so I snapped a couple pics. I usually prefer color too and I usually leave my pics cool, but I think I got them warm enough.

And thanks. It's nice to hear I come off mature, my DH would disagree though. He thinks I am immature

Craigslist up here in maine isn't used as much as alot of other areas. Like philly for example. Were slow up here LOL I havent run into any scams first and I would see it in person before I paid for it.

Do you think I should still go with the D5100 or the D7000? I was thinking about getting D7000 with a 50mm 1.8 and just acquire more lenses as I go along....

I mean, do you want to try to get more serious about photography or do you just want to be a hobbyist and get better pics of your kids? If its the latter get the D5100. If you're wanting to REALLY get into it get the d7k. Ill tell you I got mine from adorama Nikon refurbished and its just like it's just like new.

I could see myself getting more serious about.. I don't want to buy just to upgrade and I really like Nikon I'm just turned off by the fact that D5100 doesnt have built in AF motor so I'm going to put out more money on lenses for ones that have it built in.

I wouldn't buy used. Refurbished Nikon completely takes the camera apart and replaces everything in it so its like new. Used you have no idea how they treated it especially not being able to see the real thing before you buy itm
