I get asked what camera I use, and then people are like really? Isn't it old?

yea, I do but honestly, I think I need to just learn to wear my glasses when shooting cause my focus in my eyes is terrible. I wear reading glasses. My eyes focus like a 40-50 year old so maybe that would help. You'd think that with auto focus though it would automatically get the right focus. I'm just over this camera.....

I wrote the same girl back & told her what camera I had, but it wasn't just the camera, you have to know how to use the settings. & She was like "Okay, well where did you get it" .. So I told her. lol. I told her if she gets a DSLR to put it straight on manual & do all the research. She said when she gets it, she will just play around with it & she's sure she'll figure it out.

I love when people think that JUST getting a DSLR will make your photos look better. When I got my first DSLR(D60), I just used it on Auto and I was like..."Uhh wtf? These look like my point and shoot pics" Haha

Do you select your focus points? Just AF won't always select the right focus point, so even though you have it set on AF, doesn't mean the photo will be focused correctly.
Oh, and always wear your glasses!

Exactly! LOL. I mean I haven't had my DSLR long. I'll admit that. But I am trying to learn to use it right.

Or when they're like, it's just a camera. It can't be that hard to learn.

This was one of the first pictures I took with my DSLR.. lol. Guilty of flash. 




I like to think I've learned a lot since then & have improved. Especially thanks to this thread. lol.

I was reading and I think that might be it. I don't know if I can wear them though...it's going to be a while to get used to it. I don't even wear them like I'm supposed to when I read.

When I was still shooting on my 40D(s), people were always surprised.

Rofl last night was messing with my camera indoors, so low light & was getting pretty good pictures. Anyway went outside today to mess around on manual and all my pics are wither too dark or way too bright :< grrr

Going through and editing pics from yesterday. This is the first one I have done.
