Halloween Ideas *SN*

posted 19th Aug
2 months til halloween but im already trying to debate soemthing Cameron can be. i've contimplated not dressing him up, but the ppl around here are kinda rude about kids not havin costumes on to get candy... I need an idea that doesn't involve the following... masks, facepaint, head gear (hats, ears, hoods), gloves, etc... pretty much I need an idea where he's still semi normal dressed and isn't uncomfortable.. I'd like for him to enjoy halloween the best he can... any ideas...

two years ago my oldest went as a vetrinarian. You can order a fake doctors vest and have him carry stuffed animals in his pockets. They sell little fake stethoscopes too.

i think he'd need something over his face and he doesn't like anything like that... he has autism, so he's really hard to get a costume for because he doesn't like certain textures, doesn't like his face painted, won't wear hats or any type of head thing (hoods, masks, etc)

nah i dont think so, well if there are better ideas go for it,

but i dont think he would need anything over his face. my little brother went as one with a robe thing, a plastic sword and some of those shoe things they have. idk i thought it looked pretty cool the way it was.

Kieran hates all of that stuff too and the fabric most costumes come in so we're going to get some superhero pajamas the kind that look like the actual costume and he will wear those out with his light up shoes.

I'll probably order from superherostuff.com too because I've ordered through them before and they're awesome.

hmmm ill have to look up some ideas for it without headgear (masks and such).. its so hard to plan around him -___-;; i always gotta start thinkin way in advance. Last year sucked... some dude wouldn't give him his goodybag just because he wouldn't say trick or treat and he hid his face from him (he was 2 almost 3 and hes nonverbal) his sister went to get it for him and her (there was strobe lights and lots of stimuli) and the guy thought she was just trying to get more candy for herself, and gave her a hard time, i told her to come on and forget it but the lady behind us reemed the guy a new ass and then got her candy, chased us down and handed it to her to give to her brother.

Carters also sells pajamas that can double as a costume. Like a skeleton. Plus it glows in the dark-- that might be stimulating? And if he loves it, he can use them as jammies afterward.

yep last halloween. his sister is a huge help but when she tried to help the dude was just being an ass, and i was RIGHT THERE.. far enough away where my son wasn't biting me from stimulation an freaking out, but close enough to snatch my daughter quick if needed ya know? Im gonna see if their aunt wants to come with me this time around so she can deal with my daughter who never wants to stop trick or treating lol so if my son gets too stimulated or whatnot i don't have to MAKE him go through all the crap to keep DD happy.
