Alittle Worried

So since I was 6 weeks pregnant I have been getting these awful awful migraines. My doctor perscribed me meds. No big deal but now I am having them 4 times a week and I am also getting nose bleeds 2-3 times a week and they last for close to 15 mins. I have never ever had a nose bleed in my life. I had three girls before this pregnancy and never had any of these problems. Is this normal? Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? I am going on 24 weeks now and obviously I cant call the doctor cause it is saturday.

Can you go and have your blood pressure taken? It would make me wonder if it was high because of the nose bleeds.

you never had these symptoms before you were pregnant?
Sounds to me like something unrelated to pregnancy. I would definitely get it checked out, but you may not be able to do much till after you have the baby...idk just my opinion.

I have high blood pressure, Ive had it since before I was pregnant. I take meds for it, ive never had a nose bleed either but every since i got pregnant my nose has been stuffy, dry and bloody. Not like a flow, just dry blood here and there. I could be wrong but i think it has something to do with estrogen? I also had really bad headaches in the beginning but my doc would not give me anything for it, he just kepted telling me to drink more water. Basically he told me it was normal. Kinda ticked me off!

HBP will cause both. For nose bleeds it is also do to dry sinus passage and excess blood volume. Have Dr check bp meds. And get a good humidifier to sleep with. Also avoid anything that dries you out. Certain meds have this affect too. No nasal sprays, allergy meds anything like that.

I had migranes in the first 3 months of my pregnancy. it was so bad i would end up trowing up, but no nose bleeds. it got to a point were i got so sick of "just dealing with it" and told mi doctor i needed medicine. i was perscribed extra strength tylenol with codeine it dosent harm the baby. i only took it when i really needed to. my headaches were gone after a few weeks. think it has something to do with hormones. hope u get better.
