I don't think TDC is the entire problem. I can only vouch for myself here, and I've been here since April 2007. I've never, ever had a problem on this site. Never has a thread of mine been sent to TDC. I think I could probably count on one hand how many times I've quarreled with other BG members, and the ones I have quarreled with? Neither of us held a grudge afterwords.

I think the problem has more to do with the attitudes of certain BG members than the presence of TDC. But that's just my opinion.

My other opinion is that if TDC goes the drama mongering members that once congregated there will congregate else where and have a catty, drama-based thread in one of the lesser used forums here on BG. I do think threads should be deleted out of TDC after a certain amount of time. It might cut down on drama a bit, but it's better that the drama whores have a place to congregate where they aren't clogging up another forum with smurf that doesn't belong there.

I swear this is ridiculous...if people are unhappy they can leave....and stay gone.

Okay. I'm high on NyQuil so forgive me if I'm Misunderstanding. The proposal is to remove tdc entirely? So then what would happen to the threads that get apesmurf- modded/deleted? I guess I'm still way out of the loop because to me, that seems a bit drastic. Like isaid though, I'm rarely on anymore.

Tech exists but threads there are locked to new posts.

I have been here for 5 years and I never had drama (besides just your every day run of the mill BG "you are an idiot"-type things). I have never been involved in any banning drama or power struggles on here, but I have seen it happen, and it isn't pretty. I think Mara is just fed up with all the bullsmurf.

I agree with this. If TDC doesn't exist the drama will still be there, only it will clog up the rest of the forum.

Maybe once it is voted into TDC the post auto locks? IDK but all this is way out of control.
