what that extremist group is doing isn't what the Arab Spring is about. The Spring is about removing certain political authorities. There have been very violent demonstrations on both sides so I can't say I support it completely but as a whole they are fighting against repression. The article you posted is strictly about the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Arab Spring was/is a movement to remove oppressive regimes. The Muslim Brotherhood has taken over in these areas and are responsible for most all of the violence.

It was not wise to replace Mubarak with MB. The MB is brutal. Who won here?

Wth? Crusification is a part of Islam? I am glad we are learning
about Islam from a non-muslim.

I don't really know if it is a Muslim thing ir not...but I don't really think that should be the focus of this story.

The point is, many, MANY people supported the Arab Spring. The ousting of Mubarak was seen as essential to protect the people if Egypt. MB was embraced by the media and political leaders alike....but they are slaughtering people....and we'll just sit here and turn a blind eye?

...and again, shouldn't the focus be on the murder of people...just for dissent?

It was about this being a muslim thing. This is egypt, a 'muslim' county about the 'muslim' brotherhood and it was said crusification is part of the Shariah.
ALL of the rebellions were harmful, for the most part. It tore down governments and families and killed innocents and non innocents. Wars and rebellions are ALWAYS planned by governments and someone is out there waiting to take over (like this 'muslim brotherhood').
