PCOS?

I am wondering who has PCOS, and what made you realize it. was it the periods, or what? I get periods, but there so irregular, I didnt get one since June 2 then got one on August 8 and it is just now stopping. my doctpr told me, my periods are so weord because i had an IUD, and been on and off different birth controls. i need to get tested, but scared pf the result..you'know

There is alot of symptoms--for me i didn't get a period for over a year and gained mad weight in the mean time--diagnosed at 15.

It was my periods, 75 day cycles were definitely not normal. So I went to see my doc they did all sorts of tests, it wasn't my thyroid, so they checked hormones and my DHEA was elevated, so they did an ultrasound, and we found the cysts, Dr said it was PCOS.

I hope i dont got it..After 2 more months of BC ( tp regulate periods ) i am going tp try thr Soy Isflavones to try to pregnant because I dont thonk I ovulate strong.

I gained a lot of weight, and my periods would only come once every 3 months :/ they are regular now which is good. Baby dust to you!!!!

My periods were actually always normal. I had a pain in my side every now and again so they did an internal ultrasound and found out it was PCOS. It runs in my family as well.

I didn't have a period for like 7months before i got diagnosed. Me and my husband had been trying to get pregnant for like a year and couldn't. My doctor gave me progesterone and then clomid and I got pregnant the next month.

The inability to lose weight, my periods went to hell, horrible period cramps and bleeding...the list goes on. I was diagnosed August of last year.

Do you have PCOS if you get cysts on your ovaries... or can you get cysts and NOT have PCOS?

The "cysts" in PCOS ar actually underdeveloped folicles that never released eggs. I believe that is the difference between PCOS and ovarian cysts. Women who grow actual cysts can experience severe pain from them, they can burst, and it sometimes requires surgery or removal of the ovaries. I have had PCOS (well all my life) but diagnosed 13 years ago and have never once experienced any amount of pain due to it.

Okay, I was wondering about if I actually have PCOS. I have cysts on my ovaries and have had multiple surgeries. The pain is unreal. Smurf sucks, I can tell you that much!

I have had irregular periods all my life also weight gain, i had a baby at 19yo an 16yrs later pregnant now only reason i feel i conceived after all this time was i lost over 80lbs in the'last 6yrs.. I was just told at my 1st ultrasound i have cysts an fibroids.. I am terrified. Of the 10 most common symptoms of pcos i have 9 of them..

How long were you on the IUD? Sometimes that can delay pregnancy by up to a year, I read. I wrote about my symptoms and discovery that I had PCOS a little in my blog. You are welcome to read it if you'd like.

I had all the sign's but never put 2 and 2 together.It was bad pains I was experiencing, had a ultrasound.Never even knew about pcos before my doc told me I have it.
