need help/advice

I came to labor and delivery a week n a half ago for pre term labor at 36weeks they stopped it, I was 2cm then.
Came back to labor and delivery last night cuz I had been contracting for 2 days but finally got to the point where they were hurting,
I've been contracting every 4-5 mins since last night non stop but my cervix isnt changing, its actually only 1cm now they say....

I dont wanna be in labor forever, I have a 2 n a half year old at home that I have to take care of and with these contractions I sure cant get up all day with her, plus my back hurts sooo bad!!

And they said they will probably send me home becuase my cervix isn't changing, but how long can I seriously contract every 4 mins.?

Who has had this happen to them and what ended up happening how long did it take for your labor to progress or should I say cervix?

Maybe you should see your obgyn he can answer any questions you have try a warm bath to sooth your pain as for your little one see if a friend or family member can help out take her off your hands for a day or two could be Braxton hicks

These are painful contractions, so I doubt there bh..
Plus the docs say there contractions. So i dunno

Bh ARE contractions. And they can be quite painful at the end of pregnancy. I had a lot of painful BH when I was 35 weeks onwards.

You can have these contractions for a while. It's a good idea to labor at home, where you can move around and eat and such.   Good luck!

Try taking a walk with your 2 yr old. Can you have sex? Supposedly sperm can help dilate you if in labor. Some people don't dilate until their water breaks. Some it will just start randomly at any time. So don't get discouraged.

I am going through the same thing. It sucks!! They stopped preterm labor for me at 30 weeks then I spent the next 6 weeks on procardia and bed rest. I am due a day before you and now that I am off all that I am having them again. Went in the other morning after contracting all through the night 2-3 min apart. Same as you though no change. They had me walk the halls for 2 hours to see if I would change, nothing. It just made me more sore. So home I went. All I can say is we are almost there, I know how you feel though. I can hardly walk at times. I have a 5,4 and 2.5 yr old at home with me. It is very hard being in so much pain and dealing with them. Hope you can try and find some comfort until the time does arrive. I would rest as much as possible while you can.

Woke up on Tuesday got out of bed and my water broke, got to the hospital 30 mins later at 11:30am or so and delivered him just about 5 hours later with no epi but did get one pain med in iv when I first got there, but didnt work...and was already way gone by the time I delivered!
