re: Losing my MIND!

posted 18th Aug
When I had fleas last summer when I was pregnant my doc told me if I must bomb the house I should make arrangements to stay else where for a couple days. It's not safe for pregnant women to be expose to pesticides. I never did use a bomb, I was too afraid to. I just vacuumed like crazy and made my husband give my dog a flea bath. It didn't get rid of them compleltely but it did decrease the amount quite a bit. Good luck, I know how annoying those things can be!

call a pest control they came in and spray some stuff which is harmless too you and will advise you to vacume the edges everyday for a week and go to yr local supermarket and get flea drops for yr cat within days they will be gone..and to the one that thinks it takes days for flea eggs to hatch guess again the moment the female flea lays the egg it can hatch with a simple virbration so walking can hatch the egg..I had the same problem at 3 months pregnant when i took ova my brothers house it was flea infested and called the pest control and it was all cleared up in days..Good Luck..

flea bombs definitely work. I used one in college but stayed in the house after the bomb and it gave my a nasty rash so the chemicals do linger.

I would use the bomb if you can't afford pest control, but when I moved into my first apartment it was flea infested and a bomb didn't work. The landlord also had her maintenance guy come into my apartment while I was at work and set off the bomb and never told me so I came home from work and went to bed. My bf at the time and I both felt super weird and I was hallucinating. I called the landlord the next day to see when she was going to do something about the fleas. When she told me about the bomb I was SO pissed.

Anyway, it didn't work and they had to call in pest control so id say if its that bad, call a pest control company

you people are rediculous. she just needs help getting fleas out of her house and off her cat..not a rant on how "unbelieveable" her story sounds. I would for sure give your cat a flea dip..he may not like it but it helps kill them off..also, get a flea comb and after he's dry go through his hair with the comb. as for the fleas in your house..you can try a bomb. just cover your dishes or re-wash them after bomb is done...obviously stay out of the house (cat too) and wash your bedding. Ive also heard that dish soap works well to wash the cat..just make sure you rinse really well! and also a bowl of dish soap on the floor with a lamp over the bowl..I havent tried that personally but Ive heard from a couple people it works. your vet should have a cheap alternitive to flea soap or meds too. hope this helps and hope your cat is okay..I'd be scared to let him out after that! good luck

You know what, if you are just going to make negative RUDE comments, keep them to yourself. This is not something that happens on a regular basis AND it has NEVER happened to me before. It would have been "common sense" if we had've know it was a bear, When fleas infest an animal it takes a while for them to manifest, therefore there were no signs until it was too late. My cat has never had fleas a day in its life, AND we keep up on his treatments regularly so why the hell would I even THINK that this could happen when he is and has always been taken care of responsibily. All I came on here to do was ask for a little info on what I should do to help my situation and you decide to act like your Queen Shiba who knows all. Mind your own damn business from now on thanks. @Deena

The fleas are already off of him, he hasn't had them since the vet. But now they are all over the house. You are absolutely right about ridiculas! Its actually kind of pathetic to know that these "women" are actually going to be MOTHERS! GROW THE SmUrf UP!

o all of you that are actually trying to help with this thank you very much. To all you little immature girls that just want to post negative comments that have NOTHING to do with my original question, GROW UP! These are the people who are going to be responsible for raising the next generation? God we have no hope!

Woah, surely I'm not one of the "immature" girls. Like I stated, nothing I said was negative we don't have bears here. So seeing someone say that a bear was even around their house is mind blowing.

Get your panties out a bundle and stop being a cry baby. If your house is infested then your cat would still be infested as well. Your story sounds more and more far fetched/untrue the more you ramble on, so im not even going to waste my time looking at this thread anymore.
