Dima is Born

Hello all,


I had my son at 8:05pm on Friday May 9th
he was 6lbs and 3oz and 20 inches long.



He is in the NICU on ECMO which is an artificial heart and lung.

I went into the hospital on Wensday with cramps. The babies heart rate was high beacuse I was dehydrated. they got it down by giving me fluid. I stayed until thursday being monitered and thursday evening they decided to start me on pitocin to make me go into full labor the next morning. they started that at nine am. At ten they broke my water and I was three cm. By 11:30am I was in hard labor and my contractions seemed like non stop they came so close together so I got an epidural. Which by far didnt get rid of all the pain but made it bareable. By 7pm I was 10 cm and ready to push but the doctor wasent there. She got there at 7:30pm. I only pushed for 18 min and he was born. He has very dark blue eyes and light brown hair. IM not going to put any pictures on here and I dont know if many of you would want to see him looking the way he looks right now. Pray for him. He is doing well and is stable right now we are just waiting. IM very well. I went to wal mart within 24 hours after I gave birth even though I had a 2nd degree episiotomy. So I healed REALLY fast. IM anemic but thats not a big deal so im great.

Hes stats are good in the 90ies and he seems to be doing really good on the venus venus ECMO. We are just waiting like I said before.

Good to hear from you. I hope you are doing well! We'll be praying for him. He has lots of angel mommy friends that are sending him hugs!

  It's ok that you dont want to share pictures. I understand. However, I think as angel mommies we have learned to look past those tiny imperfections and see our babies and love them just the way they are!

Congrats!! And i will keep Dima in my prayers!

Thanks everybody. he is doing pretty good according to the doctors. He is down to 80% flow and if he can get to 505 they will try to take him off of ECMO. The Doctors are all really impressed with how well he is doing. I hope he keeps up the good work because they all keep telling me everything just depends on him and how he reacts to everything.

Congratulations! It must be so good to finally meet him. He's def. in my prayers.

It is a terrible thing to go home without your baby, I just had my daughter on 5-24 and she is having alot of trouble breathing. Her heart and lungs are fine, but she caught an infection during delivery due to my high fever and the 2 hours it took to push her out. She was 10 lbs 3 oz, so you can imagine why it took so long. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your son. I wish you the best of luck.

YEAY HE CAME OFF ECMO TODAY!! So he is doing really really well. They said his last blood gases were beautiful and tomrrow the surgens will come by and look at him to see about when they think he should have the repair done! YEAY things are moving foward! :-)))))))

Yay good news!!! My daughter is off oxygen and IV, she may get to come home today! Good luck with your son, I wish you two nothing but the best. They get to come home before we know it.  

i'm so happy for you... i will continue to pray for you and dima...i hope his progress continues to get better.. i know jayden and asher are there to help him out. keep up the good work both of you. i know hes going to make it!!
