I'm getting induced tomorrow night... What am I packing?

I have a generic list of what I'll need for myself/DH/baby from my DD group but I'm curious as to what you wish you brought to the hospital! Help!

in the upper right side is a box that says "search" if you put in "hospital bag" you'll get a crap ton of threads with lists.

basically... what you need when away from home for 2 days.

You are lucky you are getting induced tomorrow (as in Sunday or today as in Saturday?) Anyways I have to wait til Monday  

I wish I had gotten the ice pad nipple pads...... My nipples hurt so bad. Lol.

Saturday night. I'm 2 weeks overdue on sunday, so I wouldn't call myself lucky. Why are you getting induced?

Ahhhhh I'm so freaking nervous for this! So many girls in my DD group are having nipple pains lol.

Good luck tomorrow btw! Lol they felt better after nipple creme. My dd just wouldnt latch on correctly. She would just take the hard part of the nipple and wouldn't open her mouth wide enough. I miss breast feeding

((hugs)) if your nipples hurt that much.. the only thing that would help is a better latch. A good latch should never cause pain.

I wouldnt take a whole bunch cause we ended up leaving with more junk than what we came with cause people brought balloons gifts etc.

utilize your hospital's lactation consultant. A good latch is not painful. If it hurts.. not only is baby not latching well.. but then he/she is not transfering milk well either.

Use all the help you can get! Be patient.. and always unlatch baby if it hurts, and try again.

Nothing different than what one packs for their hospital bag if not getting induced. lol

book/magazines, camera, extra camera batteries, cell phone chargers, toothbrush, hair brush, shampoo/conditioner, comfortable outfit to go home in, socks

We also packed a little gift for our son when we had our daughter so we had something to give him as the big brother when he came to visit.

Yeah but she is also like 13 days overdue.


OP- I'd bring a laptop/tablet of some form. Camera. Toiletries like deodarant, tooth paste, brush. Hair ties and Chapstick. That's a big one. Life saver for me!
Of course clothes. Make sure they are comfy. And I'd bring an extra pair of everything for yourself in case of an accident.
Change/dollars for the vending machine. You never know when you will end up delivering and if the cafeterias closed then your kind of screwed unless you can get someone to bring you food. Phone charger, lots of calls and texts lol. Boppy. I loved having mine in the hospital with me. I think that's really it.
Try not to over pack, it's a lot more to carry in and out with you then it is worth. Or just keep the extra stuff in the car until you need it and have your DH go run and get it.
