Behavior that demeans, belittles, degrades, intimidates or otherwise hurts someone else.

Chances are if you even think its abusive, then it is. Mental, physical, verbal, sexual...any of it...if something is happening to you or someone you know and you are questioning whether or not it is abuse...go with you gut, you are questioning it for a reason. I dont agree that it has to be a regular basis. I has to happen once in my opinion. I lived in an abusive relationship for 5 years. If you need someone to talk to, please feel free to contact me!

I can tell you things that would make your head spin about what my ex did to me. Name calling, not allowing you to speak to other ppl, forceful acts, beating, smacking with an open hand.

smacking of any kind is abuse. Open hand / closed hand.

Even being guilted or belittled into doing something you don't want to do can be abuse.

We will not think you are crazy. My ex has recently admited to me that he abused me when we were in a relationship. But he would tell me the same stuff that your DH/SO does.. I was crazy. And if I told his family yeah his great aunt told me "What did you say?; How did the house look like?; etc"...
