Thanks hun. I know it's not the end of the world. I just need a bit of time to process

I have 2 children w/ASD. 1 has Aspergers & the other has pdd-nos(nvld)....they are both very smart but have varying degrees of socail , sensory issue, & reasoning issues. The spectrum is so vast that your best bet is to hold off on anything besides ''general'' research untill u get indepth testing done.

My son has autism and is almost 3. He is moderate to high functioning. When i found out he may have it it broke my heart and i seriously cried harder than i ever hve in my life but i soon realized he is the same child either way. No disgnoses is going to change them. They are the way they are. It is hard my child is mostly non verbal but it gets easier. Good luck just remember a disgnoses wont change anything it will just help your child get what they need.

I was upset when my daughter was first diagnosed 8 yrs ago. But I had kinda sensed something wrong before diagnosis. So I researched it and found Autism. I didn't say it out loud until I took her in to see her pediatrician. Once explained what I was seeing, he brought up Autism. So we started the testing, and had a diagnosis within 6 months. It broke my heart. But I knew my baby girl would not let it keep her down. There are times when itbecomew overwhelming. I just take a step back, and breathe. My baby girl is extremely loving, and loves to be kissed and hugged from me!
