ODD??

My oldest daughter does

How long have you known? has it improved? Are you in any program or anything to help with it?

She was diagnosed about a year ago. We put her in a therapy session a few times but she would just sit there and look pissed and would not talk so I stopped taking her. She has gotten better since we got a house with my boyfriend. He is very stern with her and I think its helping her some. She def still has her moments tho. I pick my battles. I try not to say or do things that will set her off.

My daughter has it as well..We are in this program PCIT (parents & children interaction therapy)... The program is pretty neat because its helps us through "special playtime".. So far its a ton of praising the good behavior, ignoring the minor behavioral things, describing what shes doing to let her know i'm interested, and reflection on things she says so she knows i'm paying attention ... Its def helping thank goodness lol.. .She def still has her moments as well, but not nearly how she was before.... I have to remind family to pick and choose their battles with her! I think with her getting older, the program and working with her at home she is going to continue to improve...

what is ODD exactly. What were the signs that made you guys have your children evaluated? Hopefully none of these questions bother you guys.
