Mirana IUD Issues

Hi All,

Anyone else here get a Mirana IUD after having a babe and go through spotting and cramping even though they are exclusively breastfeeding? I have had it over a week so this is not from installation. Feels like a period and mimics mense spotting.

I got mine placed at eight weeks pp, bf for six months and bled on and off for seven months after getting it.

Yeah I'm 8weeks pp as well and didnt feel like this prior to install. I had a copper iud after I had my first lo and didn't get my period until I was 9 mos pp. so I'm guessing it's the hormones in the iud :0(

It's very common to bleed after getting the iud. I also had nausea and migranes for a couple of weeks afterwards, it takes your body some time to adjust to the hormones, totally normal.
