Just stopping in to let you know that I had my baby on March 1.   He was 7lbs 11 oz. Born at 10:51 am! I'll post pictures later!

He now has no oxygen tube and no iv! Now he is just being monitored!

2 cm dilated and 75% effaced!!

I'm a little scared right now. My mucus plug came out 2 days ago. It looked just like mucus and it was slightly brown & slightly pink/red. Pretty much textbook what I heard it was going to be.

But now...I just went to the bathroom and was about to get up after wiping, when I suddenly felt some "discharge". So I wiped again and checked the TP. It looked EXACTLY like dark, dark red period blood...like chunks. I wiped 4 more times and each time I got more of the same thing. Is this bad? I don't recall the mucus plug looking anything like that, so I'm afraid it's not related to the plug anymore...

I'm about to call L&D...but I'm scared.

Dr Appt this afternoon - still having contractions although they have become much more sporadic - definetly not enjoying the sciatic nerve pain or the crazy nightmares - Last night I was attacked by midget clowns :I

Because I tried looking it up online first and everything said to call your doctor or go in immediately. So it sounded bad. One thing said that the placenta could've separated early & that it could be dangerous for the baby...that's what mostly freaked me out. But I called L&D...they said it's a normal progression and not to worry as long as it's not runny, bright red blood and the baby's moving (which she totally is). They even said they might see me later today (as in...I might go into labor today). I'm not scared or worried anymore...I just thought something might be wrong with her or something.

So I told DH (who's at work) and NOW he wants to pack his hospital bag...even though I've been trying to get him to do it for weeks now. Lol.

Eek! My last appt was Thursday. He said my cervix was completely closed & she was pretty far up, but that he could feel her head. Since then, my cervix has thinned (at least that's what L&D thinks based on what I described to them), I've lost my plug, and the lady I spoke with today says I have to be dilated at this point.


So we'll see...my next appt is this coming Thursday.

ya, you've definitely opened up some. DD was was as high as could be until actual labor started, I was 2.5cm when I went into labor though.
When I lost my mucous plug it was 2 weeks till I had her. I didn't have blood at all until I was actually in labor though!
This time I have no idea what I'm dilated too, my drs don't check, and DS is superrrr low. Dr said she couldn't feel his head anymore from the outside of my abdomen because he's in my pelvis now.
