Yes! After I had my first I never listened again! Ha ha ha.

About 1 1/2 hours before my ultrasound, I would fully drain my bladder. Once it hit an hour before, I'd chug my water. Never had an issue with it not being enough. Also with me being a lot over weight, it never caused issues. Also, if you do drink it all, it can cause your bladder to be too full. Happened to me, I drank what they said, and my bladder was too full! They expected me to go and pee out only a little. Also, if the appointment before you happens to run late, you'll be in even more pain!

They have never told me to drink anything. I know it is suppose to push the baby to the front to better see but I've never had that problem, They have even told me to use the restroom to see if we could get the baby to move.

Drink one regular sized bottle of water, or one large glass. You don't necessarily have to chug, just drink it as fast as you can. If you drink really slow, then start just before the hour before.

Hopefully that works. Because I would be miserable!

With the old machines they need your bladder to be full to be able to have a land mark and push the baby up.

Yes, I know. That is what we have where I live.

Obviously you can do what you want. You may regret drinking that much though.

I have to drink 32 oz too and I keep thinking I will end up peeing myself waiting! But I did see a girl in the waiting room last time with a water bottle-so I won't chug until right when I get there..lol I have a hard enough time at my regular appts when I have to give a urine sample every single time to hold it. Most of the time I go in and submit my sample as soon as we hit the waiting room and come back out to wait to see the DR

I never drink that much and they never have a problem! This time the tech actually had me empty my bladder because it twas too full. I had only drank a Gatorade and had to pee enough to make me a bit uncomfortable.
My sheet said to drink 4 liters of water!

I don't want to drink that much...but I don't want them to not be able to see baby either. I guess I am just confused about it.

My place has the old machines too! I just drank my drink on the 20 minute bus ride there and finished it the waiting room 20 minutes before my appointment.

I learned my lesson after my first appointment with DD, I was in so much pain and they never get you in on time so I was already set to burst before they even called me in. I hadn't even drank the full amount that time either.

If you want to go by the what they tell you, of course go ahead.

I've just done this many times, as I'm on my 4th pregnancy. Wanted to pass on a little knowledge.

My first two ultrasounds when I listened to what they told me to drink, I was literally almost in tears I had to pee so badly I was in pain.
