re: Implanon...what medications interfere with this?

Oh i understand in july of 2013 ill be barely 20 and my SO barely 26 , but weve been together well july will make two yrs and some months and lived together since august 2011 so yr now..and my mom thinks 24 is to young to have a baby but as long as we can provide for us without struggling and finish school then it shouldnt matter if im 20 or 24 or 30

I agree with you. Age does not matter as long as you can provide & take care of the child. My DH & I got married in June 2008 on our 4 year anniversary...I graduated college a month before we got married & I found out I was pregnant in December 2008...we had been trying since September. I was 20 when I got pregnant & 21 when he was born & my husband just turned 26 right before our first was born. I was 23 when my 2nd was born. They were both very planned yet I still get treated like crap by complete strangers bc I sound & look so young so they assume I am a teen mother with two young children.

Wow that is so messed up..my mom says that because she had me at 24 was with my jackass dad for four yrs and he left right before she found out she was pregnant and then she told and he didnt want me..so she doesnt want it happening to me i guess..

Yea it is messed up & does get very annoying & hurtful. Both times I got pregnant I was asked if it was a good or bad thing by the nurse at the doctors office. I was like ummm yea they were freaking planned!!! People are always pointing, whispering & staring at us too.

I can see why your Mom would be worried bc she only wants what's best for you & doesn't want to see your hurt or struggle, but if you & your SO are in a committed relationship & both planning & wanting baby & are prepared for the baby then that is a completely different situation & she should realize that eventually. She may react totally differt when it actually happens.

Yeah we have both been talking about it..He got a new job as a supervisor for a company called West Corporation..and we plan on getting married too. And hopefully she does..she thinks shes to young to be a grandma..my adoptive dad said he will babysit if i bring him some beer and 20 to go to the casino lols.hes crazy but i gotta love him.

Sounds like you both are on the right path & your lives are coming together nicely. Congrats on the engagement! Getting married is very exciting. Lol your adoptive Dad sounds crazy funny. My Mom is a young Grandma & loves it. She is always saying how proud she is to be a Grandma. She shows off my boys to everyone.

Holy crap! Just took a first response test & saw a very very very light barely noticeable 2nd line & now I don't know what to think. I'm even more confused than before I took it. My husband even saw the line so i know im not imagining it! I made a post & everyone is saying if there is a 2nd line there before 10 minutes then it is a positive. I just can't wrap my mind around it. I mean what are the chances that I could actually be pregnant on Implanon?! I think I was told by the PA that it would be a less than 1 in 100 chance!

Yeah i was told by my doctor a very slight change. Question did your periods stop when you got on it or not?...& i say wait a few days and retest. Otherwise if you are congrats and get the implanon out ASAP

I haven't gotten a period yet bc I'm still breast feeding. Thank You. I'm deff getting this thing out ASAP if I am pregnant. I'm thinking about calling my doctor on Monday morning. I'm gonna retest too.

Yeah thats a good idea. And okay i am going to go look..and i see.i just havent had a period at all. I want to try now but i know we need to wait. And it is exciting i know how i want the wedding, where, what colors., and just a little ceremony and a big reception. He has a lot of family around the location where i want to get married so i said they can come to the reception.i want the ceremony more private

That's sounds great. Planning weddings are exciting. We had a small ceremony & a big reception. It was great! I keep telling him I want to get remarried on our 10 year Wedding Anniversary.

Lol a lot of people have got remarried..my parents want to too. They never had a wedding just went to the court house..

That is sweet that they want to get remarried. No one in my family has ever gotten remarried, but I know of many people around here who have either gotten married at the court house or a small ceremony & have gotten remarried 1-5 years later & had their big wedding.

Yeah i know..they had their 14 yr anniversary in January so hopefully sonetime soon they will get remarried lols
