baby shower thank you cards!?

I need help!!!! I have no idea how to start out the thank you card!! I dont want to just start it out by saying thank you for the ---gift but, how the hell do I start it?! I have a list of everything that everyone bought me. I dont want them to be super long either.. I have like 50 to write out and a lot of people got me more than one gift.

I wrote on every single one of them.... (lol)

(name), thank you so much ofr the (gift)! It is appreciated and will def., help us out.

Oh yeah, more than one gift, pick the biggest and say thanks for the (gift) and other things you gave us!

The general gist of mine were, *Name* Thank you so much for coming to our baby shower. We really appreciate the *gift/gifts* It was/is *so cute, really helpful, so thoughtful*. We can't wait until *if you have a name for your baby/baby* arrives so you can meet him/her. Thank you once again!!

I went kinda generic with mine. I started by saying, "Thank you for sharing your day and for the generous gift"

If I had a personal message I would put it after that.

I wrote: (sample)

We wanted to thank you for the great gift you got for (name). The outfits are so cute and we can't wait until he grows into them. Thank you for thinking of us during such a special time in our lives.

I then signed them with my husband, mine and the baby's name.

If it is a particular gift, such as maybe a monitor, say how you plan to use it. Get personalized!

I feel kinda weird that my mom did it for me.. She wrote a cute poem.. the type where I rolled my eyes.. cuz it was cheesy >_>

But I guess I would put

Dear so and so,
Thank you so much for the (gift)! Your generosity is very much appreciated and I thank you so much for coming to my shower. My day was full of excitement and laughter and I hope you had as much of a great time as me and (boyfriend) did.

Signature.

My trouble would be that I would have to do that in spanish.. and I'm terrible at speaking it, let alone writing it lol.

Thank you so much girls!!!   I seriously have no idea what I would do without you guys sometimes lol!! But, I guess I better get to writing   this could take a WHILE!!

lol! I think its a cute idea to write a poem in there too.   and damnnnnnn im so glad I dont have to write anything in a different language! Even if I could write a different language (which I can't haha) it would be SO much more frustrating than just writing out the regular thank you cards!

lol Yep! If you dont mind what they look like because by the time im done with all these I dont think im going to be able to move my fingers!! I've only done 3 so far and damnnnnn my fingers hurt already! Its probably going to take ALL night!

I actually had people address their own envelopes when they got to my house so I knew who to send a card to. So I cheated a bit there. The harder ones to do were the ones where people gave gift cards. I made up what we used the gift cards on. lol

We did the envelope thing too!   We used it actually to pick who got the door prize... and to make sure that we had everyones address and knew exactly who all came and stuff.. because of how many people actually were invited! Im super glad my mom thought of that! Its so much easier than trying to get everyones address and stuff! And... i would have probably forgotten a LOT of the people that came lol! I wish I would have thought to write Drews name first so it looked like he wrote them instead of me lol.

When i wrote mine ijust started it out like "thank your for coming to my shower it means a lot and thanks for the ____you brought...blah blah "
